Sakramento was formed in 2006 by a 15-year old Mateus Bronhara. His intention was to play a fast,heavy and furious thrash metal heavily influenced by the 80s old skool thrash metal,Bay Area and Teutonic scenes and take the band and music itself seriously and professionally.

The band was called Harvester of Hate back then (the name was shortened to just Harvester later on),and their setlist was mainly covers from bands like Metallica,Megadeth,Sepultura,etc. The first gigs were at the local bars from their hometown (Barueri-SP) usually as opening acts for other local bands.

Lineup changes were constant for the band,with some members lasting less than a month. Because of that,the band remained idle throughout the entire year of 2007. In December, Carlos Eduardo "Du" Balbino and Danilo Muller join the band as bassist and drummer respectively,complementing the trio and resuming the band's work.

In 2008,the newly consolidated band starts rehearsing and playing at the most important venues of the state of São Paulo,such as LedSlay,CervejAzul,Fofinho Rock Bar,etc. and at the end of the year, their first EP KARMA STONE is released. The release was very well received by the fans and gave the band the push and energy they needed. In December, bassist Du Balbino leaves the band due to personal and professional problems and is replaced by Alan Magno,an old friend of the band.The band bids farewell to the year of 2008 playing with one of the most important bands of the Brazilian and worldwide metal scene,Andralls.

2009 arrives and the band's exposure to the São Paulo underground thrash metal scene starts to increase and gigs become more frequent,expanding their reach, giving them the first opportunity to play with foreign bands, such as Civil Olydnad (Sweden) and God's Cracked Skull (Croatia). Sakramento recorded another EP,PRAISE FOR WAR,in April which was well received by the fans and was considerably well sold at their gigs.The band drew attention from other cities around the state and played their first gig outside São Paulo,at the city of Bebedouro (Heavy Metal Asylum,July 2009).That was the last gig featuring Danilo Muller on drums, as he had to leave the band after this show,due to personal and health problems. Rodrigo Silva,from a São Paulo band called Infected replaced him,but the hiatus was short.Danilo rejoined the band in August and Sakramento resumes the tour, playing their last gig of 2009 with the legendary Brazilian band Salário Mínimo.

2010 was very productive for the band,that starts to appear at important venues featuring national and international bands,opening for Municipal Waste in March,invited to open for Voivod in September but Voivod cancelled the tour and finally,opening for Death Angel in October,earning more and more respect in the national metal scene. In the middle of the year,they recorded their most recent release,the SEEDS OF INSANITY EP,containing previously unreleased tracks,most of them unknown to the fans,who had a very pleasant surprise on listening to the EP. The release was extremely well received by fans,blogs,websites,zines,etc. and the distribution at the shows has been extensive and accesses the official MySpace increase every day, while the fans await the official release scheduled for the beggining of 2011. In October, bassist Alan Magno leaves the band due to professional issues and Sakramento finds in Gustavo Marabiza the perfect replacement showing a strong style, punch and fury, and the perfect addition to the band.

Sakramento continues to work hard promoting their work. There's still a lot to be written in the band's history,but the passion,the fury of the band members,the loyalty of the fans and the love for thrash metal have been the perfect fuel for the trio! The band hopes to write even more chapters to this history and is making plans of recording and releasing their first album,and playing around the country,showing the headbangers scattered through the states of Brazil what thrash metal's all about!
